REFORMER PILATES FOR TWEENS & TEENS

Pilates is an excellent choice for tweens and teens as it helps develop core strength, flexibility and balance, which are essential during the rapid physical growth of adolescence.

It promotes proper posture and prevents injury by strengthening muscles around the spine, which is particularly important for young people who engage in sports or prolonged sitting.

Pilates also supports healthy bone development through weight-bearing exercises, crucial for bone density during these formative years.
Pilates is ideal for dancers and gymnasts as it enhances flexibility, strength, and body control, improving performance and reducing the risk of injury.

Beyond the physical benefits, Pilates encourages mindfulness, reduces stress, and improves mental health, offering tweens and teens a way to manage the pressures of school and daily life. Additionally, Pilates fosters body awareness and boosts self-esteem, helping teens build a positive relationship with their bodies while developing healthy habits that can last a lifetime.

At For Her Pilates, it is non-negotiable that people under 18 are supervised by an adult. We encourage caution in your workout sessions, and immediately stopping if you feel any pain or strain.

There are a range of beginner sessions available that you can take at your own pace. If interested, prior to your Junior’s first session, please email info@forherpilates.com.au and we may be able to organise an instructor to be on site to get you settled.

  • Suitable for up to 16 years

    Note: we recommended beginner level for juniors. Must be supervised by an adult at all times.
